As per Dean SET's instructions received just now, students with aggregate attendance 50% or more will be 

allowed to sit in the Examination tomorrow. Students will have to submit an application.

You may collect the Backlog admit cards from Chaman after 02:00pm today. If you could not collect the same, it may also be available at the OSD office before the start of the examination. 

GI Backlog Viva

GI viva for the backlog students shall be conducted on 6th Nov, 2013 at 11am in room no 204, e2. Miss this at your own risk.

There will be class test for backlog students in surveying on 5 December at 305 EII. The class test timing is from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The syllabus for test is levelling and contouring which includes following topics:
Definitions, Methods of determining elevation (H.I and Rise and fall method), Classification of levels, Sources of errors and precision, methods of representation. Definition and characteristics of contours, methods of contouring and its usage.

29-11-13 (Friday) at 3:00pm to 3:30pm.

Numerical problems form torsion, axial force, bending moment, and shear force & bending moment diagrams of simply supported beams.

Only three questions has been given below for the "Second Class Test".

Date and time of test: 22-11-13 (Friday) at 3:10 to 4:05.

Venue: Room No: 306 SET- EIII

List of Questions for the Test:

Q1. Prove the relation for simple bending of beam. Hint: M/I=s/y=E/R

Q2. Derive torsion formula for maximum shear stress.

Q3. Derive a formula for shear stress distribution of a rectangular section of a beam.

Update MODS backlog: Class Test

Those who can not attend the "Class Test" on 15th Nov. 2013, they can come and attend the test on 14th Nov. at 3:10pm or any time before in my cabin.  Meet me.
