Section B (G1 and G2) please give your presentation on 06/10/12 from 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm
Note: Please submit your hard copy of the report of 10 pages before the presentation. that should be on or before Friday (5/10/12)

All the backlog students who have registered for CVL303 Concrete structures are required to follow this website.

The deadline for submitting Assignment 01 is 08-10-2012.
The deadline for submitting Assignment 02 is 13-10-2012.

Late submission of assignment will attract a reduction of two marks per day after the deadline.

Assignment 2 for quantity surveying course

Assignment 2 for Quantity Surveying: (Last day of submission for both Section A and B is 3 Oct 2012)

SECTION A:

Find the rates per cubic meter for the following items using delhi schedule of rates 2012 (available at https://sites.google.com/site/civilsharda2010/downloads-1). Also compare your rates from the given rate in DSR 2012,

a)Pointing on brick work with cement mortar 1:3 (1cement : 3 fine sand) : Flush / Ruled/ Struck or weathered pointing

b) Cement concrete in foundation 1:5:10 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand : 10 graded stone aggregate
40 mm nominal size)


c)  R.C.C. work in Beams, slabs etc (1:2:4) 

d) I class brickwork in superstructure with modular bricks with 1:6 cement sand mortar


SECTION B: 

Find the rates per cubic meter or sq. meter for the following items using delhi schedule of rates 2012 (available at https://sites.google.com/site/civilsharda2010/downloads-1). Also compare your rates from the given rate in DSR 2012,

a)  12 mm plastering 1:6

b) Cement concrete flooring 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded
stone aggregate) finished with a floating coat of neat cement, including
cement slurry,  40 mm thick with 20 mm nominal size stone aggregate


c)  White washing with lime New work (three or more coats)

d)  Providing and laying damp-proof course 40 mm thick with cement concrete
1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 12.5 mm
nominal size)
