Q.1 Design a square footing for a
rectangular column 300mm X 500mm reinforced with 6-25dia bars and carrying a
service load of 1250KN. Allowable soil pressure is 200KN/sqm at a depth of
1.25m below ground. M-20 and HYSD bars
Q.2 Design a square footing for a
circular column 500mm in diameter reinforced with 8-25dia. Bars and carrying an
axial load of 2500Kn. SBC is 300KN/sqm at a depth of 1.5m below ground. M20
& HYSD bars
Q.3 Design a combined footing for
two interior columns carrying axial loads 1000KN. C1(400 X 400mm) and C2(450mm
in diameter)They are reinforced with20mm bars and are spaced 4m centre to
centre. SBC is 120KN/sqm. The property line is 300mm beyond the face of column
C1. M 20 and HYSD bars
Q.4 Design a footing of a brick
wall 30cm thick which is transmitting a load of 150KN/m per unit length. The
gross bearing capacity of soil is 100KN/sqm M-20 and Mild steel bars
